Chris originally studied Physics and Computer Science at the
University of Keele as an undergraduate before moving to the
University of Birmingham where he achieved an MSc in Natural
Computation. After recently submitting a doctoral thesis Chris originally
joined Cercia as a research associate and is now a research fellow.
Chris maintains a general interest in nature inspired approaches to design and optimisation but specialises in computational models of embryogeny and the relationship between evolution and growth processes.
