Cercia has recieved a 50k grant from EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) and AHRB (Arts and Humanities Research Board) to set up a research cluster as part of the ‘Designing for the 21st Century’ program. The goal of this network of nearly 30 UK researchers and practitioners is to create research collaborations and identify new research areas that introduce nature inspired techniques into the design process. The cluster activities will be held during the calendar year 2005, seminars and workshops organized by the cluster will be open to the public.
